The last photo, of QM behind the scenes with a cigarette, checking her speech notes while her hairdresser makes some final adjustments, is a gem!

'Alt for Damerne' exclusive interview this week -Queen Margrethe 75 years

http://www.altfordamerne.dk/Upload/alt-for-damerne/2015/Benjamin/15/denne_u15-1.jpg

Small part (google translation)

Queen Margrethe: My grandchildren might not get as much time as many other grandchildren do

http://www.altfordamerne.dk/Upload/alt-for-damerne/Interview/dronningen_les_kaner_high.jpg

Why do I always get a "poor-frederik-and-joachim-feeling" when I read interviews with QM....

Another new interview with QM, this time from Berlingske, with many nice, big photos from Fredensborg Castle.

It's a long intervew and the translator refuses to translate all of it.

Some things she says are, according to BT, bordering political.

Vi skal ikke lade os kyse

"I think my mother would have been very happy for Mary. They never met. Frederik had only just met Mary when my mother died. But I think he already at that time was pretty sure that it was here that should be deployed. I must say that the very first time, he let me meet her, I hoped that it would last. As the saying goes: the macro base was in order. The expression was used by my mother, and it was obvious that in this case the macro base was largely in order. "
"It is an exemplary partnership. They have great together and they are excellent parents. They do things well. They take the ball up, both when it comes to them. The way in which Mary has been working with her foundation and the work she does for young women who are victims of violence, and her efforts against bullying in schools is just right for her to go into. She can do things that I had never been able to do before. "

Press conference at Fredensborg Palace

14.30

HM The Queen holds a press conference in the Garden Room at Fredensborg Palace for Danish and foreign media

Nothing much of interest. PH's attendance was cancelled due to influenza.

QM confirmed she is attending the wedding of the godson Carl Philip.

IMO The press conference was better than normal. The journalists had better questions than usual. And there was a little more at play this time, because she in an interview to Berlingske a few days ago commented on the immigration topic. But I'm surprised that there wasn't any questions to "Bridgegate", which turned in a new direction today, because a PET officer has been charged. It could have been fun to hear an answer:-)

jp.dk: ;)

Queen Margrethe has commented unusually sharp on immigration:

"One must demand, that they know where they have come" "Mai Oui, mas cherie"

(commoner can provide a better translation)

BT+EB and many more to come, I assume.....:

Too sick for birthday, Now Prince Consort has gone on holiday to Venice

(google trans)

Apart from the birthday celebrations, PH cancelled an official event last Friday afternoon.

The next day, Saturday morning, he was spotted walking around in Venice....

"'He is feeling better. When Prince Consort got better, he decided to travel south " Lene Balleby confirms.

He was just getting some tailwind in Denmark. Then this:-) There is probably nothing to it, but maybe he should just have waited 1 or 2 days more, then nobody would have lifted an eyebrow.
