The castle was built by King Frederik II, with the aim of impressing guests from near and far. During their visit the Crown Princely Couple and the Presidential couple will be given a tour by a guide dressed in renaissance costume, and among other things, will talk about the history of the castle and King Frederick II and Queen Sophie's life in the castle. The tour starts in the courtyard and ends in the great hall. On arrival at Kronborg Castle the Royal Couple and the Presidential couple will be welcomed by Erik Als, director of Kronborg Castle, and Petra Sandén Azzi, event manager.
