HRH The Crown Princess, as patron of Mothers Help, leads the official inauguration of Mothers Help's House.

Abel Cathrines Gade 13, Copenhagen V.

Mothers Help is a social humanitarian organization that supports and advises families, single mothers and pregnant women. Mothers Help has in recent years seen an increase in the number of inquiries, and therefore the organization has received a new counselling house where there is room to expand and provide even more help.

The Crown Princess has been a patron of Mothers Help since 2007.

Mothers Help's new counselling house was inaugurated by guest of honor Crown Princess Mary with much celebration.

HRH officially opened the facilities that can provide security and peace for women and children in the midst of chaos and violence in close family relationships.
The property, which houses the counseling center is a listed building and was originally built in 1885 to house poor women. One of the best things about the property is a secluded, quiet courtyard in the middle and inner cloister-like corridor linking the buildings together.

Those who experience the house remark on the very special tranquility there. It is an oasis of peace amidst the city's chaotic rumble, where Mothers Help welcome it's users.

Crown Princess Mary toured the house with the Director of Mothers Help, Mads Roke Clausen, who said,
"I am extremely delighted that the counselling house now stands ready to receive vulnerable families. We not only have an opportunity to help more, but also to help better since the house has potential we have not had previously. This applies, for example to a new therapeutic children's room, giving us unique framework to help children from abused families."
