Thanks mls. There doesn't seem to be much coverage of Thursday's events available yet.

kongehuset press release

"HRH The Crown Prince on Thursday, 7th of May, 2015 is in charge of presentation of the Brain Prize 2015 at the Black Diamond, Copenhagen.

The Brain Prize is a personal prize of 1 million euro allocated to the charitable fund Grete Lundbeck European Brain Research Foundation and given to one or more scientists who have distinguished themselves by an outstanding contribution to European brain research.
The prize is awarded this year to four neuroscientists, Winfried Denk, Arthur Konnerth, Karel Svoboda and David Tank for their invention, development and application of two-photon microscope, which helps to see how brain cells communicate.
The award, which was instituted in 2010, is awarded for the fifth consecutive year and is associated with an outreach program that provides the prize winners the opportunity to come to Denmark to attend meetings and workshops with Danish neuroscientists. The prize should help strengthen Danish brain research through increased interaction with research in other European countries.

During the award ceremony the Crown Prince delivers a speech and participates in a subsequent dinner."

BB article

"Crown Prince Frederik presented Denamrk's answer to the Nobel Prize"

- Crown Prince Frederik brought his sense of humor and lots of praise for the recipients on Thursday night when he presented the world's largest brain research award.

- In his speech to the winners of The Brain Prize, the Crown Prince joked that Crown Princess Mary and he had fought about who was going to present the award and meet the many interesting guests who were present that evening. (Crown Princess Mary is patron of the Brain Prize, if I remember correctly.)

- 350 guests attended the celebration, including ambassadors, professors, brain researchers. Education and research minister Sofie Carsten Nielsen was among the speakers.
