Edit. I found the online version of that news

http://www.billedbladet.dk/kongelige/danmark/boerneboernene-fejrer-dronning-margrethe-med-morgenvaekning

"The grandchildren celebrate Queen Margrethe with morning wakening"

Was the article naming those who attended the morning wakening for the Queen's 70th birthday?

Very strange....Yes, you are correct. The wording was different when I read it the first time.

Edited entries:

The balcony appearance at Aarhus City Hall

12.20

The Queen and The Prince Consort appear on the balcony out towards the City Hall square at 12.20, after which there will be, among other things, a speech by the mayor and presentation of the city’s gift. The Aarhus School of Music presents musical selections.

Is now: Regentparret og den kongelige familie viser sig på balkonen ud til Rådhuspladsen, Aarhus Rådhus, kl. 12.10

And now the kids have disappeared from the entry about the Gala Night at Musikhuset Aarhus. ??

We can expect W-A and Maxima, as King Willem-Alexander said in his speech at the State Banquet a few weeks ago that he and Maxima would be back for Queen Margrethe's birthday celebrations.

The Swedish Royal Court calendar shows that King Carl-Gustaf and Queen Silvia will attend the celebrations in Denmark on 15th and 16th of April.

Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel will attend on the 16th of April.

The Norwegian Royal agenda shows that King Harald will join the celebrations on the 15th and 16th of April. Queen Sonja will be in NYC.

Crown Prince haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit will attend on the 16th.

The Belgian Royal agenda lists King Philippe and Queen Mathilde as being in Denmark for Queen Margrethe's birthday celebrations on the 15th of April.

That's all I've been able to find so far.

I'm sorry to hear that Prince Henrik will miss the main festivities. Wishing him a full and quick recovery.

I am wondering which relatives will be able to attend too, ayvee. The big historic gala jewellery would certainly be appreciated by the Queen and her sisters. ;)

Here is official confirmation of the attendance of the king and queen of the Netherlands, on their agenda. The dinner on the 15th is listed.

The Spanish royal house's agenda announces that King Felipe and Queen Letizia will attend the dinner on the 15th.

How interesting to see Princess Mary in a coach with the Queen. Last time she did was the open carriage after their wedding.

mls, I hope you feel better soon!

gudinde, I think King Felipe and Queen Letizia are attending the dinner on the 16th. I think the one tonight, April 15 is for government officials, so no foreign royals.

Thanks ayvee. Perhaps I mistook the date the info was published for the date they would attend - although other foreign royals seem to be coming on the 15th too.

Could it be that tonight's dinner is "Official Denmark's" celebration and includes the foreign royals? I'm sure this will be clarified before too long.

I think Frederik travelled in a carriage with Crown Princess Victoria during the Swedish State Visit to Denmark. Mary was on maternity leave at the time.
