Crown Prince Frederik honored Danish design saying "There is future in it. And the future is grounded in the past, because we have a good tradition of design in Denmark, and we are proud of it. We had a visitor from Shanghai [Richard Hsu, co-founder and creative director, Pan-Asia Network, BB ed.] tell us that we are very much in demand and highly recognized in the wider world. That, we are not so conscious of because we live in it and it is a matter of course for us - in a good way." "Danish Design Award" is a collaboration between the Danish Design Centre and the trade organization Design Denmark. The purpose of the Danish Design Award is to demonstrate the value and impact of design as well as to inspire and stimulate the use of design and design thinking in businesses as well as in society.
