As a result of recent discussion we, the moderating team, have decided to post the principles of moderating or the guidlines of posting. The main ones anyway. They are simple:
1) be nice to each other and converse in a decent language. That mean we can write: "I don't agree with you, because..." and not: "You are a moron, because.... " 2) don't publish negative rumours about persons. This don't mean we have to post only sugary stuff, but be sure about our facts, or have a reference, or some knowledge. We can post opinions too, but please again, be nice. You can I write: "I think Joachim got a problem, because...", don't write Joachim is a jerky, male chauvist pig... 3) sometimes we merge threads, or move threads to another place, based on how we find things connect, or from suggestions of members. Or because they are off topic. We often haven't the time to orientate the memebers, so please be indulgent with us if your post have been moved. These are the principles. Are those the right principles? Do we, the moderators, keep those principles ourselves? These questions are hard to answer for ourselves. We may be faulty in our judgements, in executing these principles, we are only human. So if you have any comments on the principles or suggestions or find that we have overstepped the line, then please tell by posting in this thread or PM us. on behalf of the CP Mary MB -team Thor |

The board rules and guidelines have been revised. We'll keep adding footnotes here, as necessary.
There is no need to be worried about differences of opinion. They can lead to stimulating debate, which is part of any healthy message board. It often results in issues being clarified. Just remember to keep it civilised. |
