Mary looks lovely. I had a feeling she would wear the white New Year's gown, although I am somewhat surprised she didn't wear the ruby parure.

I'm not surprised. Over the years I have seen, that Mary (most of the time) tends to "dress down" (outfit and jewels)

to events which are not about her/The CPC. This evening the "main characters" are the Regent couple and the visiting King and Queen of the Netherlands.

King Willem Alexander just said, that he and his wife would attend the 75th birthday of Queen Margrethe next month.
