Historian Trond Norén Isaksen wrote a fairly comprehensive article on his blog at the time of the engagement, about Sofia Hellqvist's background:

http://trondni.blogspot.se/2014/06/prince-carl-philip-and-sofia-hellqvist.html

This is one of the matches which generates much discussion in the relevant kingdoms, as it touches on the weighing of values and the public's expectations of it's royal family, As an outsider it has been interesting to watch the feedback in the press and on royalty forums.

I'm also an "outsider" in the sence that I don't have a personal interest in the couple itself (or much in the SRF) but having lived in Sweden when I was young, I know something about the SRF.

Being completely neutral (indifferent), it has been interesting to read the discussion about Sofia Hellqvist and to compare the opinions to what I've read in connection with a Mary Donaldson dating/getting engaged/married to CPF. Where were all those broad minded posters when Mary, with her background, was discussed...??

I can't say I'm familiar with boards and opinions other than the big discussion at TRF. I never visit other boards.

There have been suggestions in the press that 3 year old Princess Estelle will be a ring bearer at her uncle's wedding.

Hello magazine had this to say:

"According to reports in the Swedish press, the little princess has even been involved in rehearsals for the special day. However, the royal palace has remained silent probably because they're waiting to see how she will handle her responsibility."

http://www.hellomagazine.com/royalty/2015061025702/princess-estelle-swedish-royal-wedding-ring-bearer-for-carl-philip-sofia-hellqvist/

Official info will be released by the Swedish Court just before the wedding.

Posting arrivals in Stockholm in this thread makes sense, arrivals at the Palace Chapel can go in the wedding thread.

But whatever makes sense to you is fine with me.

Sweden is in the grip of royal wedding fever
