Unannounced Events 2018

mls

Recommended Posts

Director of Communications at the Danish royal court, Lene Balleby, stated many years ago, that not all official events and

work that the members of the DRF do, are added to the official calendar at kongehuset.dk.

Events like meetings, audiences, visits to patronages and charities and so on.

This is a thread where these unannounced/unofficial/unpublished events for 2018 that we know of, can be gathered in one

place and the general news thread can be kept for just that.

"A delegation from the city of Higashi-Matsushima in northeastern Japan visited today H.R.H. the Crown Prince,

where they among other things handed the Crown Prince a bag of rice.

The Crown Prince has a special connection with Higashi-Matsushima, which was hit by an earthquake measuring 9.0 on the Richter scale in 2011, triggering a

tsunami where more than 1,000 people died. Shortly after the natural disaster, the Crown Prince visited the area to encourage and support the population during the

reconstruction period. "

21 March

Weekly meeting with the Director of the Mary Foundation, at Frederik 8. Palace

"Why are there more and more young people not happy?
What does expectations, perfectionism, social media, more screen time and less contact mean, and growing clarity about all that makes life difficult?
We do not have all the answers, but at today's weekly meeting, it was eagerly discussed what it takes to get answers and what we can do to change the

unfortunate development. Further dive into new numbers from the National Health Profile can be a step along the way"

"There was fishing for crabs, cooking over fire and walking on the beach when H.R.H. The Crown Prince as patron of Save the Children

today visited an adventure club for war veteran families in Fredericia.
The Nature Club is part of the project "Out of the War's Shadow", aimed at traumatized refugee and war veteran families with children.

The purpose of the experience club is to strengthen the families and children's well-being through activities and good experiences in nature.

The theme for today's trip was crabs and the close nature around us."

From a poster on DRF facebook:
"
We are deeply grateful for thevisit. All children and parents on the trip fell easily into conversation and play with HRH the Crown Prince.

There is no doubt about the empathy, sincerity and curiosity on his part in relation to our meaningful cooperation with Save the Children"
