Thanks mls.

I see that some Danish press are reporting as if this event is a break from the court mourning period.

https://kendte.dk/dronningen-holder-fest-dropper-hofsorgen-henriks-doed/

"The queen holds a celebration and drops the court mourning for Henrik's death"

In reality there was never an edict about no public events, and there are no specific rules for what the royal house can attend when there is court mourning. Evidently this year's event took a less festive form than in previous years.

"The Queen begins work before court mourning is over"

Jyllands Posten asked the royal court why the event was not postponed until after the mourning period has ended, and received this reply:

"The dinner will be held on the foundation day which is Frederik IX's birthday on March 11, and we want to stick to this tradition. The dinner is held this year in a subdued form".

And it's not even the first "break": QM received Ambassadors in audience only a couple of days after the funeral, the Crown Prince attended

a State Council, he held a public audience...

Mary's outfit looks blue in the photos but on the video, it looks black.

I wish the person doing the videos in the DRF would learn to do it properly. The videos are often blurry.

"On March 11th 2018 the Royal Family attended their first official duty after the death of HRH Prince Henrik. The event was the dinner to present the Badge of Honor for officers of the Air Force. The court is still in official mourning until March 14th but the dinner was held due to the importance of the tradition. It was started by Her Majesty Queen Margrethe's father King Frederik IX in 1953 and is always held March 11th on his birthday. The Badge is given out to officers for 25 years of service and rotates among the army, navy and air force every three years. Due to the official mourning all members of the Royal Family were wearing dark colors and the event was very subdued to honor the mourning. Attending the dinner at Fredensborg Castle were Her Majesty Queen Margrethe and TRH Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary."
