Royal expert and historian Sebastian Olden-Jørgensen:

Sebastian Olden-Jørgensen however can not imagine that the Spanish king could have been in a godparents seat at the confirmation

of the Danish Crown Prince couple's children.

"As long as Queen Margrethe is on the throne, I can't imagine it. She is very traditional, Lutheran and anti-Catholic, "he says,

referring to the Spanish King being Catholic"

He obviously doesn't know that King Felipe is godfather to Prince Vincent...😉

This time it's Lars Hovbakke Sørensen, another royal expert and historian, who is analysing why Prince Christian (and only him) was in Norway

with his parents.

Could someone please translate?  On the one hand, I could understand that the F&M want to enhance Christian's relationships with his fellow heirs.  On the other hand, why not bring along Isabella, Vincent, and Josephine.  I understand that the families are very close so it wouldn't have been unusual

Personally, I think they will have to start bringing Christian on official events from time to time.

They can't just shove him out on his own when he is 18. I assume Christian will be confirmed next year and by then he will almost be on

his last year in elementary school. There will be events will all 4 kids but they will need to get Christian more involved little by little.

He is only 13, 14 next month, but only 4 years from now he will be 18 and will take his place in the State Council!

"Saturday's confirmation in Oslo was just one of the first steps on the road where Prince Christian's parents will help their son into the official royal world."

“This is a development we will see in the coming years. Initially, you treat the children more alike in the royal families, but gradually you start to make more difference, in terms of what to do and what to participate in, ”says Lars Hovbakke Sørensen"

" “The main reason is that he will be king. Therefore, he must be raised to a greater extent than the others to participate in such official events.

Of course, so should the other children of the Crown Prince couple, but it is especially important that he gets used to this kind of thing, ”he says."
