Here I got a status on the COVID-19 situation and including a status for vaccinations. What I took with me from the briefing was that even though there is still some way to go, there is reason to be optimistic - infection rates are falling in several places, we are constantly building up new important knowledge… and then we now have the vaccine. I can feel in myself and others around me that it feels difficult right now and that our patience is being put to the test. Therefore, it is good to hear that we can be hopeful - it can give us energy to persevere and hold on. Instead of a screenshot, I have chosen one of my own photos, which could signal that with each passing day, we are moving towards lighter times. - H.R.H. Unfortunately, it is often the weakest and most vulnerable who are hit hardest by crises. And children are no exception… .on the contrary. Unfortunately, there are many children in the world who have had their lives changed due to prolonged shutdowns as a result of corona. For many of these children, school means more than education, it also means protection. Children who are unable to attend school will now live a life at greater risk of violence, abuse, lack of food, prostitution, child marriage and the risk of ending up in extreme poverty. We have seen a decline in extreme poverty for many years, and now we are unfortunately seeing an increase for the first time in 22 years. Now these children do not know what is happening, for their future is uncertain and they face an uncertain place. It is hard to accept that they have to watch their dreams of a brighter future falter. I talked about this, among other things, with host Mark Stockholm the other day, when we recorded an interview for the fundraiser show, which can be seen on Saturday. - H.R.H. A defibrillator can mean the difference between life and death, and now there is a defibrillator available at the entrance to Amaliehaven near Amalienborg. The defibrillator was received by Her Royal Highness the Crown Princess from the Heart Association in continuation of the Heart Association's National Distribution in 2019, from which all money raised went to the distribution and setup of more than 400 new defibrillators across the country. The Crown Princess is patron of the Heart Association, and it was Her Royal Highness' wish that a defibrillator would be set up in a place in Copenhagen where many people move about. The book was published in the autumn on the occasion of its 15th anniversary, but the Crown Princess in the circumstances could only receive at a meeting in dag. At the meeting told Henriette Svarre Nielsen and Anna Frellsen about the organization's work to reduce maternal mortality and infant mortality in developing countries - including with the Safe Delivery Program. But the numbers are still far too high and are unfortunately expected to rise a lot due to the corona situation. So there is a long way to go before we reach the goal in the book's title. "As a mother, I know for myself how important and reassuring it is to have a midwife and other health professionals, their knowledge and support by their side during both pregnancy and childbirth. But I am also painfully aware that this is far from the reality for women in large parts of the world, the Crown Princess says, and emphasizes how bad things are with sad facts that 800 women and 14,000 infants lose their lives every day in connection with pregnancy and childbirth. The training was part of the preparations for this summer's big race Ride4Rehab. The race, which is in nine stages, is part of the DIF Soldier project, where the purpose is to give a group of injured veterans a physical experience of cycling through Denmark. In addition, the project has a goal of improving the lives of physically and mentally injured veterans through sports and communities. The cycling training yesterday was 55 kilometers and started and ended at Vordingborg Barracks. The Crown Prince also had the opportunity to hear several of the injured veterans' harsh stories. In connection with today's training, the Crown Prince states: "Community through physical exercise is the main element in DIF Soldier Project and Ride4Rehab, and it is clear that exercise as a tool helps vulnerable veterans to have a better everyday life. It was a great pleasure to participate in today's Ride4Rehab training. and meet the veterans. " Among the veterans who cycled in the Ride4Rehab training and met the Crown Prince was Kenneth Henriksen from Odense. He has previously been deployed to Iraq and today suffers from ptsd: "We are training hard at the moment to be in as good shape as possible before we have to drive Ride4Rehab this summer. The Crown Princess, who is a captain in the Home Guard, first visited the contact tracing unit, where a division sergeant and 60 Home Guard soldiers together with 240 civilians daily help the Danish Agency for Patient Safety to contact the infected and find close contacts.
