Since 1949, Save the Children has held holiday camps for children, young people and families in vulnerable positions. At the holiday camps, children, young people and families participate in positive communities and activities that compensate for a number of key deprivations they experience in everyday life. His Royal Highness is the patron of Save the Children and regularly visits the organization's holiday camps and experience clubs.
