Crown Princess Mary landed back in Denmark on Tuesday morning (1 December) after a two day visit with the Danish soldiers in Afghanistan.
Together with Minister of Defence Søren Gade the Crown Princess has visited the camps Camp Bastion, Armadillo and Price. The foreman of the Danish Parliament Thor Pedersen was also on the trip. The visit had been kept strictly secret until it was completed.
The Crown Princess has training in the Danish Home Guard, where she has completed an NCO officer course and has achieved the rank of lieutenant.
A year ago Crown Prince Frederik carried out a corresponding trip in Afghanistan.
