   The operational division for the region is Beredskabsstyrelsen Midtjylland, located in Herning. They maintain a 24/7 readiness response team, assist local fire and rescue services, and handle major accidents, technical rescues, and CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear) emergencies.
