The Crown Princess will be received by Ambassador Miller, Australia’s Ambassador to Denmark, Norway and Iceland and Ambassador Stott Despoja, Australia’s Ambassador for Women and Girls.

The Crown Princess arrives together with HRH Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway who also participates in the event. As patron of Women Deliver Conference 2016, the Crown Princess will give a speech at the Young Leaders program that seeks to elevate the potential and passion of young advocates by providing opportunities for Young Leaders to build their capacity and skills and find platforms for them to share their voices and experiences.

The Crown Princess gives a speech at a forum for ministers participating in the Women Deliver conference. The Minister Forum is organized by the UN Population Fund UNFPA, the United Nations equality organization UNWOMEN and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark. 35 ministers from around the world are expected to attend and exchange experiences and discuss how to ensure increased investment in girls’ and women's rights and health.

The Crown Princess gives a speech and opens the exhibition #childmothers. The photo exhibition #childmothers focuses on girls that have become mothers before turning 15 years of age. Photographer Pieter ten Hoopen and journalist Sofia Klemming Nordenskiöld have met child mothers in five countries: Bangladesh, Zambia, Haiti, Jordan (Syria) and Burkina Faso.

Meeting with Young Leaders, The Mary Foundation

The Crown Princess will, together with CEO for The Mary Foundation Helle Østergaard, meet 15 youths to talk about the conference, outputs and contributions. A grant from The Mary Foundation has enabled 15 young men and women from around the world to take part in the Women Deliver conference. The recipients of the grant come from Burkina Faso, Malawi, Egypt, Kenya, Cuba, Ghana, Uganda, Malaysia, Benin, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka. They are all involved in working on behalf of women’s health and rights in their own country and have also acted as advisers in international contexts.
