The Brain Awareness Week is marked every year in week 11. In Denmark, several patient associations have formed the network "Brain in Focus"

for focusing on the brain, brain diseases and brain research.

Crown Princess Mary is patron of The Danish Stroke Association and the Danish Brain Injury Association.
