Sverige, kl. 10.00. 4 July 2015, 10:00 am HRH The Crown Prince participates in Vansbrosimningen in Vansbro, Sweden. Vansbrosimningen is Sweden’s classic open water swimming event. The course is 3k, and is swum in the rivers Vanån and Västerdalälven. http://vansbrosimningen.se/en/ http://vansbrosimningen.se/en/vansbrosimningen-3k/ There is a series of extreme events in Sweden which together are known as 'A Swedish Classic'. To qualify for a diploma the 4 extreme events must be completed within the space of twelve months. Part 1 is 'Vasaloppet' cross-country skiing 90 kilometers (which CPF has completed several times, including this year in March) Part 2 is 'Vätternrundan' cycling race of 300 km (which CPF completed overnight on the eve/day of Prince Carl Philip's wedding in June) Part 3 is today's 'Vansbrosimningen' swimming over 3000 meters in open river Part 4 takes place in September - 'Lidingöloppet' 30 km cross-country run. H&N notes that Crown Prince Frederik will not have much time to recover as he is due back at the Copenhagen Opera House at 4:20 pm for the Hempel jubilee event. Just saw a short interview with him and he said he intends to participate in the 4th part of 'A Swedish Classic' - The 'Lidingöloppet' in September. He is starting to prepare for it in August. It sounded like the reporter started with using the informal 'you', 'Du' in Swedish but then continued with the formal 'Ni'.
