A defibrillator placed at the entrance of Amaliehaven, just next to Amalienborg, as patron of Danish Heart Association.

https://hjerteforeningen.dk/2021/03/h-k-h-kronprinsessen-markerer-opsaetningen-af-ny-doegntilgaengelig-hjertestarter-naer-amalienborg-slotsplads/

H.R.H. The Crown Princess received the defibrillator from the Heart Association in continuation of the Heart Association's National Distribution in 2019, from which all collected money has gone to the distribution and setup of more than 400 new defibrillator across the country.

After receiving the defibrillator, the Crown Princess asked that it be set up in a place in Copenhagen where it could benefit as many people as possible. The Heart Association therefore investigated a possible location and determined the location at the entrance to Amaliehaven from Amalienborg Square, where there are usually many people, including tourists from home and abroad.

Thanks mls

I watched the show tonight. Se & Hør has, as usual, embellished the story a bit 😉because there was no ‘interview’ with CP Mary, but a short clip was shown with her from the day she received the new defibrillator at Amalienhaven, in which she briefly told about the importance of defibrillators in the streets as the vast majority of cardiac arrests occur on the streets and not in hospitals.

As patron of Maternity Foundation, Crown Princess Mary has written the preface to a book, which will be published this month.

IT MUST NOT COST LIFE TO GIVE LIFE

The Maternity Foundation publishes an anniversary book to fight for women's health.

Maternity Foundation turns 15 years old, and we mark this with the book IT MUST NOT COST LIFE TO GIVE LIFE, which will be published by @Gyldendal on 10 December.

The book takes the reader on the Maternity Foundation's development from a small Danish organization to an international digital frontrunner in the fight for women's health.

In the preface, Crown Princess Mary writes that all women, no matter where they live, have the right to a safe pregnancy and birth.

"As a mother, I know for myself how important and reassuring it is to have a midwife and other health professionals, their knowledge and support by their side during both pregnancy and childbirth. But I am also painfully aware that this is far from the reality for women in large parts of the world, the Crown Princess says, and emphasizes how bad things are with sad facts that 800 women and 14,000 infants lose their lives every day in connection with pregnancy and childbirth. A high mortality rate, which, according to the Crown Princess, could be reduced with appropriate programs.

Millions of Ukrainians are fleeing war internally in the country and in the surrounding areas, and major relief efforts are underway in Europe. As patron of DRC Danish Refugee Council, Her Royal Highness the Crown Princess today received a briefing on the refugee situation from the organization's general secretary Charlotte Slente.

DRC Danish Refugee Council works closely with authorities and local organizations to help the many people who cross the borders into Ukraine's neighboring countries on a daily basis. The Secretary-General has just returned from Poland, which has received around 1.7 million refugees from Ukraine. Charlotte Slente was thus able to tell the Crown Princess at today's briefing about the organization's work to help create security and protection for the many refugees, who are often women and children. It is a particular challenge in Ukraine to secure the humanitarian corridors so that emergency aid can reach those in need and people can be rescued.

"This week, our patron Crown Princess Mary is in Bangladesh to focus on refugees in one of the world's most climate vulnerable countries. 🔹 Yesterday she visited Cox's Bazar district, where the world's largest refugee settlement is located. Here, over 900,000 Rohingya refugees from Myanmar have sought refuge in more than 30 camps. 🔹 The refugees live in a small and underdeveloped coastal area that is regularly exposed to natural disasters such as floods and cyclones. That is why we help i.a. with securing the camps climate-wise, and we build and preserve shelters and infrastructure."
