Last year there were a few of CPF arriving for the first time ever and that was the year Mary had to cancel for some reason... Let's hope we'll have a few of them arriving from Cph to Fredensborg. I can remember just one year when photos were released in the last 10 years. This kongehuset has a little info about the event http://kongehuset.dk...-og-flyvevabnet This evening the Regent Couple holds the Medal of Honour dinner for defense and air force officers at Fredensborg Palace. Every year, H. M. Queen holds a Medal of Honour dinner respectively for the Army, the Navy and the Air Force. The Medal of Honour dinner is held alternately between the three services, and this year they have invited officers from the Defense and the Air Force, where different members are honored. At the annual dinner the Regent Couple and also the Crown Prince Couple participate. King Frederik IX ordained in 1953 that the Air Force and the Defense medal as a parallel to that of the Navy, which was the first medal established in 1801 by Christian VII. Distribution of the Air Force and the Defense medal nowadays occurs twice a year and is given for good service for 25 years. It is the chief officer among the recipients who leads the ceremony.
