Distribution of the Industry Foundation Entrepreneur Award

HRH The Crown Prince on January 12, 2017 is in charge of the distribution of the Industry Foundation Entrepreneur Award during the Danish Tech Challenge Award Show.
Danish Tech Challenge is an entrepreneurial competition of 20 selected start-ups, high-tech IT hardware companies. The companies competing for Industry Foundation entrepreneur prize take part in a four-month intensive program, organized by Scion DTU and supported by the Industry Foundation. As part of the process participating companies move into the science park, where they have access to, for example, workshops, sparring with professional business developers and collaboration with researchers from DTU, which can help to develop their idea and product.

The participating companies are especially selected by a specialist jury and shared by the participants is the potential to help create jobs for both unskilled, skilled and academic positions in the future.

During the Danish Tech Challenge Award Show today the Crown Prince distributes the Industry Foundation Entrepreneur Award 2016, which is accompanied by 500,000 kroner, to the winning company. Then the Crown Prince visits the winner's exhibition stand.

Danish Tech Challenge started in 2014 as a trial process, but subsequently Scion DTU and the Industry Foundation decided to continue the course for 2015, 2016 and 2017 also. The Crown Prince also presented prizes in the first two years, where the winners were respectively Nordic Power Converters and MedTrace.
