HE Guðni Th. Jóhannesson and First Lady Eliza Jean Reid arrive at Christian VII's Palace, Amalienborg, where they are received by HM The Queen and HRH Prince Henrik.
In connection with the arrival, the President and First Lady's car is escorted by the Guard Hussar Regiment’s mounted squadron.
Afterwards, there will be a official photographing of The Queen and Prince Henrik and the President and First Lady.

Visit at Jónshús

The President and First Lady visit Jónshús, which is an Icelandic cultural centre in Copenhagen. During the visit, the President and First Lady will be shown a commemorative exhibition about Jón Sigurðsson, who led Iceland’s independence movement.

Visit at Christiansborg Palace

The President and First Lady visit Christiansborg Palace, where they will be shown the Royal Reception Rooms, including the Fredensborg painting and Bjørn Nørgaard’s tapestries in the Great Hall.

Meeting with the Prime Minister

The President and First Lady participate in a meeting with Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen.

Meeting with the Speaker of the Danish Parliament

The President and First Lady meet with the Speaker of the Danish Parliament, Pia Kjærsgaard.

Presentation of Iceland’s national gift

HM The Queen and the President and First Lady participate in an event at The Black Diamond, Copenhagen. Iceland’s national gift will be presented. It is a collection of retranslated Icelandic sagas, which will be accessible at Danish libraries and institutions of higher education. In addition, there will be various musical features at the event.

State dinner at Christian VII's Palace, Amalienborg

The Queen and Prince Henrik host a state dinner at Christian VII's Palace, Amalienborg, in honour of the Icelandic President and First Lady. The royal family, the government, the Presidium of the Danish Parliament, the Icelandic delegation and selected companies etc. will take part.

At the state dinner, there will be speeches by The Queen and the President.

are Mary's earrings new?  very nice design!

 

I like her skirt and I like the top, but i'm not loving the two together.  as (almost) always, her hair and make-up are perfect!

 

marie's dress is nice, but not a wow for me.  maybe if it was in another color?

 

qm's gold set is eye-catching and goes well with the dark green dress.  but i think it clashes with the diamond necklace.

Yes, I think they are, ap3. These earrings in combination with the new tiara and the boat neck shape of Mary's gown work really well. A necklace would have made it all look too busy in my opinion, but the dangling earrings fill the area in nicely.

I rarely notice things like that but in this case, I agree. Lots going on here

I think the Queen M's Greenlandic tiara would look much better on dark hair. Perhaps one day.

It's a very pretty tiara but very "golden".
