"The Mary Foundation publishes a journal of violence

Violence is part of everyday life for many families. Therefore, professionals should be better dressed to intervene when they suspect that family violence is taking place.

The Mary Foundation and Lev Uden Vold, therefore, publishes a new anthology on violence targeting students in a number of professional educations.

Social counselors, educators, teachers, nurses and many other professionals meet every day families who live with violence. Some may see clear signs or have a concern about family violence, others may not know what to look for. What are the signs of violence? When is a behavior violence? And what to do? With good reason. For domestic violence is a complex area. And today, the teaching of family violence is sparse in professional education. Therefore, the Mary Foundation and Lev Uden Vold, in collaboration with Akademisk Forlag, have compiled the anthology Violence in the Family - knowledge for professionals that can be used in teaching at relevant education.

About 'Domestic Violence - knowledge for professionals'

'Domestic Violence - Knowledge for Professionals' is the first collection of recent Danish knowledge about domestic violence. The anthology is published in collaboration between the Mary Foundation and Lev Uden Vold, both of whom work against domestic violence. The book introduces teachers and students to a number of themes about family violence with contributions from researchers in the field and organizations with specialized efforts for both victims of violence and perpetrators. Among other things, the Mothers' Aid, LOKK, Danner, Dialogue against Violence, the Mandecenter, VIVE and several other organizations have

contributed"
