H.R.H. The Crown Princess participates as patron in the 70th edition of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe (RC70), which this year is being held virtually due to COVID-19. At the meeting, health ministers and senior representatives of the 53 member states of the WHO European Region, as well as partner organizations and civil society, will discuss health issues.

On the opening day of the 70th session of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe (RC70), WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus and WHO Regional Director for Europe Dr Hans Henri P. Kluge will report on the state of health in the world and in the European Region, including lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The following special guests will address the Committee:

  • Her Majesty Queen Mathilde of Belgium (via video address);
  • Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, WHO/Europe’s Patron;
  • Dr Stella Kyriakides, European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety; and
  • Professor Mario Monti, Chair of the Pan-European Commission on Health and Sustainable Development and President of Bocconi University (Italy).

She indeed has a very pleasant voice. 
If a speech of hers is posted on the DRF’s social media you can be sure to see comments that ‘if she wasn’t a Crown Princess she really should record audiobooks’ 😉

 

I took my time to listen to the live stream here the first hour and our Crown Princess really is a great speaker. Calm, easy to understand and has natural alluring facial expressions.

It's in the gallery. They will probably post it later. So far, they have only posted her speech on facebook and the one Mary has taken.
