The Novo Nordisk Foundation established BII in 2017 with the aim of creating an ambitious life science powerhouse, where both Danish and international top researchers and entrepreneurs can help each other develop and mature their research into economically sustainable products. Over the past two years, 85 research projects and start-ups from both Denmark and the other Nordic countries have received support through BII for the development of new life science innovations and solutions within pharma, bioindustry and health technology.
