"We are approaching a summer holiday that is really needed for many after an eventful and in many ways challenging 2021 that has offered corona restrictions most of the year.

For the Crown Prince's family and for Queen Margrethe, the summer holidays will begin in a slightly different way than last year. A significant change is that according to the royal calendar with official program items, Queen Margrethe will already have residence at Gråsten Palace in Southern Jutland from 23 June.

This was not the case last year, because then Queen Margrethe only arrived at Gråsten Palace on 21 July, which was a good distance into the summer holidays and by that time, the Crown Prince couple had already stayed at Gråsten for several weeks."

QM at Gråsten from the 23rd June has to do with the summer cruises to the Faroe Islands and Greenland which start mid-July.

Last week of school for Christian, Isabella, Vincent and Josephine and then it's summer holiday until 8. August for the 3 going back to Tranegårdskolen.

Today is (I assume)the last day of school and summer holidays are starting. There's nothing on the official calendar and the event (s ?) Frederik has mid-July in Tokyo either in person or virtually has not yet been confirmed by the court. If he will be in Tokyo, we can perhaps assume that he will take part in the IOC session

and the Olympics.

Added: Benedikte had an official event in the area and is staying at Gråsten with the Queen.

Technology failed, but thank goodness for an alternative. Despite the size, it is with excitement that we follow closely (very closely) tonight's big match… ..

and it looks good! 🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰🇩🇰

I was wondering where this is. The windows at Kancellihuset and Gråsten are white. Doesn't look like Amalienborg.

Abroad? Chateau de Cayx seems to have partly brown windows.

John and Susan had (have?)a house in France as well.

That's a good guess.

It's Wembley next for Denmark against England. Wednesday, I think. Unfortunately, I don't think we will see Frederik or any of the family attending...

I read there is a 10 days quarantine when entering the UK.

The Crown Prince Couple back at Chateau de Cayx.

https://herognu.dk/kronprinsparret-tilbage-paa-chateau-de-cayx/

Not sure how H&N knows that they are in fact at the Chateau unless the photographer/reporter travelled there.

"After a couple of lovely summer days with Queen Margrethe at Gråsten Palace, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary have gone to France with their four children to spend a holiday at Chateau de Cayx in Cahors.

However, the Crown Prince family did not travel to France together. On Tuesday (added: the 29th June), Crown Princess Mary followed them aboard the royal yacht Dannebrog in Sønderborg, but then went ashore herself and flew to France where she was to attend a conference in Paris on Wednesday morning.

Crown Prince Frederik sailed with the children Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine to Copenhagen and from there continued  to France, where they met with Crown Princess Mary and took up residence at Chateau de Cayx."

I wonder how they know or they are taking an educated guess.

Maybe the Danneborg with the family was spotted beforehand.

Could be an educated guess....Maybe they have been checking the same brown windows we have...;)

Dannebrog has been staying at Sønderborg Harbour but did pop to up to Copenhagen on the days in question. Sailed back to Sønderborg on 1. July.

Someone has possibly spotted the family at the harbour.

Added: Judging by the cover, they do have some photos. Looks like they are from Denmark.

From last week - Dannebrog arrived in Copenhagen Wednesday the 30th. The article doesn't explain why they think the family continued to Chateau de Cayx

from Copenhagen/Paris.

After a couple of lovely summer days with Queen Margrethe at Gråsten Palace, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary have gone to France with their four children to spend a holiday at Chateau de Cayx in Cahors.

Before they left, Frederik also set off on a mini-cruise in Danish waters with the children. In high sunshine, the family departed on Tuesday afternoon from Sønderborg with the royal yacht Dannebrog, but when they reached Copenhagen on Wednesday morning, the rain was pouring down. Luckily, it cleared up just before they were to land. But before the royals went down the ladder to the chalup the conscripts had to work hard with the swabs so that no one slipped on the rain-soaked deck.

This is, according to the article, the newish "manny", recruited from the royal life guard.

Frederik an Mary have been in Spain for a wedding of the daughter of winemaker Peter Sissec . They apparently also visited him in 2019.

Thanks commoner. Nice to see you

Yes, someone posted one photo of F&M at a restaurant or something back in 2019. Several of their friends also visited.

No photos in the article and the wedding guests arrived Friday the 9th. Ellen Hillingsø also attended.

About Gråsten

According to this, the palace garden will be open for the public again from the 15th. It doesn't look like F&M will be staying at Gråsten Palace anymore this summer.

"Residence in the summer of 2021
Gråsten Palace Garden will be closed to the public from 21 June until and including 14. July."

But then the one about guided tours in the palace gardens still has the "closed until 8. August"...

"The Crown Prince came by"

at something called "Musik i Lejet" (Music at Lejet), a music thingy in Tisvildeleje.

Several wondering if he is not supposed to be self-isolating and someone answering:
"You don't need to be in isolation when you have been (added: fully) vaccinated, but "just" take two tests."

(Added: Unless you have symptoms)

With this going on, the family is probably not in Fredensborg at the moment.

https://www.billedbladet.dk/kongelige/danmark/travlhed-midt-i-ferien-masser-af-aktivitet-hjemme-hos-frederik-og-mary

"The craftsmen are busy these days at the Chancellery House in North Zealand. A crane has today been focusing on the fine glazed tile roof at the Chancellery House and at the back of the building towards the royal couple's lovely garden scaffolding has been set up covering the entire facade.

Fredensborg Palace and the Chancellery House will be elegant and beautiful for the upcoming anniversary of the palace, which turns 300 years old in 2022."
