Crown Prince Frederik in 1 visit managed to
(1) promote Royal Run and show off the new medal
(2) put focus on recycling/sustainability (one of his main issues)
(3) highlight a business employing people with mental/social issues (the business/program is getting mentioned in all posts and articles with link to their social media,
(4) Gave a fun moment to capture in photos and video of him doing a little sewing (since he's usually up to give anything a try).
Plus he did it in his usual casual, easy, relatable style. THIS is how a royal visit is done.

Glad to see this getting so much coverage!

Exactly! He is such a nice man and has the wonderful gift of being able to make people at ease where ever he goes, who ever he meets.

I agree!  And in this case I can certainly understand why the visit was not announced given where he was visiting and understanding that the employees there may have felt uncomfortable with a gallery of photographers and press clicking away and wanting Frederik's attention.  But what a wonderful thing is being done by the Royal Run to have the medals made at this business. Just a win win all the way around.

"ROYAL RUN COMES PAST HERLUFSHOLM💙 Today we can reveal a small, but beautiful, part of the route of the Royal Run in Næstved 🙌 The runners on the 10 km distance come past Herlufsholm School, which has a long and exciting history. Herlufsholm School was founded way back in 1565 and appealed both to children of the nobility, but also to children who had the desire and ability for learning and education📚👔 Today, Herlufsholm houses students from 6th grade to high school's 3rd grade, and there are both day students and boarding students. Among them is the future king of Denmark H.R.H. Prince Christian, who is currently in high school at the historic boarding school 👑"

It would have been nice to see Herlufsholm students participate but that weekend is not  a school weekend for them.

The sun had just risen and the clock had just passed 6:30 Am 🕕, when His Royal Highness the Crown Prince together with the organizers of the Royal Run this morning cycled through the streets of Copenhagen and made sure that the One mile route in the capital will measure exactly 1,609 km 🚲🏁

It was route surveyor Peer Jensen who led the morning traffic, and he has for many years been responsible for surveying and certification of exercise running routes in Denmark.

Today's route survey began at Amalienborg, after which the trip went to the Nyhavnsbroen bridge, where the Royal Run races in Copenhagen begins on 6 June. Then His Royal Highness cycled the route through and stopped a few times along the way to put distance markers. At the same time, the Crown Prince received an explanation on how to ensure that the survey is carried out as correctly as possible."
