"Crown Prince Frederik has just arrived for the big premiere of the Netflix film "Against the Ice", and here he speaks to the assembled journalist on the red carpet about the current situation in Ukraine: - Of course, it worries the world enormously. It also worries my family and myself, and we follow the development, and our thoughts are with the Ukrainian people,  Crown Prince Frederik says, before he continues on to the screening of "Against the ice" together with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau"

Against the Ice "is based on Captain Ejnar Mikkelsen's novel" Dangerous two-man journey ".

At the premiere of the film, the Crown Prince met Naja Mikkelsen, who is the granddaughter of Ejnar Mikkelsen. The novel is based on the story of a Danish expedition, led by Mikkelsen, who in 1909 tried to disprove the US claim to northeastern Greenland - a claim that was rooted in the idea that Greenland was divided into two countries. With his crew left by the ship, the captain set out on a journey across the ice with crew member Iver Iversen. The two men managed to find evidence that Greenland is one island. In 1986, the Crown Prince participated in an expedition to Mongolia with a focus on the nomads, and in 2000, His Royal Highness participated in "Expedition Sirius 2000", which was a four-month and 2,795-kilometer sleigh ride north of Greenland.
