The Red Cross is currently working around the clock to send supplies and other emergency aid to Ukraine, and as the organization's patron, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince today received a briefing on the Red Cross' current relief work.

It happened at the Red Cross' head office in Copenhagen, where Secretary General Anders Ladekarl told the Crown Prince about the great urgent need for emergency aid in and around the country right now. The Secretary General returned home from Ukraine the day before yesterday and was therefore able to tell about the great work that is being done to get food, water and blankets to the many people who are fleeing the war.

Via a video link, the Red Cross' country manager in Ukraine, Antoine Terrien, also participated in the briefing, and the country manager told about the current situation, where more than 6000 Red Cross employees and volunteers are in the process of helping. In recent days alone, the Red Cross has distributed food and hygiene packages to 30,000 children and adults.
