The Crown Prince Family will travel in December for a private Christmas vacation in Australia to celebrate the holiday together with HRH The Crown Princess’s family. It has been five years since the Crown Prince Couple last visited The Crown Princess’s native country together with their four children.

We don't know when the family travels to Australia but a thread just in case we get news. Christmas holiday in Danish school doesn't start until a

few days before Christmas but IIRC, they left a week or so before the holiday started last time, 5 years ago.

I won't be surprised if they are on their way already or leaving in the next day or two. I am sure the Crown Prince Couple and children would like to spend at least 2 weeks with the family and if you take into consideration that they have to be back in Denmark for the New Year's Galas and the long distance of travel, it won't give them much time for a two weeks stay.  Fingers Crossed.

  • 2 weeks later...

According to the article and assuming they have the correct info:

"Together with Princess Isabella, 15, Prince Vincent, 11, and Princess Josephine, 11, Crown Princess Mary set off for Australia last Friday. (Must mean Friday the 9th).

Thus, they manage to get a full three weeks "down under"."

"Crown Prince Frederik, 54, and Prince Christian, 17, are expected to follow suit this week."

The article does not mention Christian.

"Crown Prince Frederik has now flown off from Denmark and has been reunited with Crown Princess Mary, who went on a Christmas holiday to Australia some time before her husband.

The flag at Frederik VIII's Palace has not been raised during the day this weekend, and this is a sign that the crown prince family has left their private residence at Amalienborg for the rest of Christmas."

Thank you. Seems to be impossible for them to get the Frederik's name and the titles correct...

The Daily Fail is a joke.  They never get their titles correct (or anything for that matter.)  The UK papers get their titles wrong on purpose.  It is yet another way they are derogatory to royals they consider to be lesser than the royals they are contractually obligated to prop up.

Names, tittles, and apparently they write that Christian is there LOL

"The royal and her husband, Prince Frederick of Denmark, blended in with the locals during a shopping excursion in Sydney's beachside suburb of Bondi on Monday.

The 50-year-old was accompanied by the couple's children Christian, 17, Isabella, 15, and twins Vincent and Josephine, 11, as well as her old friend Amber Petty. "

Photo from the DM article posted above by Paulamary:

Princess Mary has also made time to drop in at Sydney's Shell House restaurant, a bar and restaurant inside a historically significant palazzo-style building in Sydney.

She posed alongside security guard Mourad Ayat on Friday, who shared a photo of the pair together on Facebook.

The royal is understood to have dined at the establishment, which offers locally sourced produce.
