About Queen Margrethe:

"She is the one who is making me a fool. I have not married the Queen in order to be buried in Roskilde".
"My wife has decided that she wants to be Queen and I'm very pleased with that. But as a person she must know that if a man and

woman are married, then they are equal".

And he has (unfortunately) said more...:

"It's my wife and not me, who can do something about that decision. If she want's to have me buried next to her, she must make me a king-consort.

That's it. I don't care".

This is very sad to be played out in public.  I'm beginning to think that Prince Henrik may be ill and it's taking a toll on him. It's not as if he hasn't known this for the past 50 years!  Perhaps he really wants her to abdicate as have other European monarchs and just join him in France?  Very very sad.

He is responding to the question "Some say that you are making a laughing stock of the Queen and making her look like a fool and exposing her?"

While it doesn't totally excuse him, I think it's manipulative of the media to leave out this question/context. They make look like it's something he just bursts out on his own. He was kind of trapped/provoked into the reaction. The question probably made him a little upset and that added to his reaction. That he isn't the best communicator in Danish probably didn't make it better for him.

In true form Henrik of course offered the journalists a glass of wine. "But only one glass!":-)

Anyway, its always entertaining with little turmoil in the duck farm:-)

He does not sound right in that video.  His voice is tight and his eyes look worried.  The tabloid provided subtitles to his speech because he is not speaking clearly.

His status has been a sore point for many years.  But, these last outbursts sound completely unfiltered.  If he is in mental decline it is nothing for the tabloids to exploit.  The court, family and his doctors had better get ahead of it, if that is the problem.

I thought the same.   He does not sound well at all.  There is definitely more going on  here than we know.

Frederik has (in Aarhus today) commented on his fathers decision:

"Jeg har kun det at sige, at jeg er rigtig ked af min fars beslutning på rigtig mange områder.

Mere kan der ikke siges om den her sag på nuværende tidspunkt, sagde kronprins Frederik "

"The only thing I have to say/can say is that I am really sorry for my fathers decision in many ways. More can not be said about this matter at the moment".

http://kongehuset.dk/en/media-centre/press-releases/press-release-hrh-prince-henrik-admitted-to-rigshospitalet

"His Royal Highness Prince Henrik was admitted to Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen yesterday evening after suffering pain in his right leg.

The reason for the hospitalization is progressive pain following surgery The Prince had in mid-July, when The Prince’s right groin was operated

on and balloon angioplasty was performed in his right pelvic artery. The Prince is being treated medicinally, and additional surgical procedures are

not expected at present.

It is uncertain how long The Prince will be hospitalized at Rigshospitalet.

You are not necessarily stressed to be royal. It shows a review of the royal house official calendar, which Ekstra Bladet has made.

Here it is evident that the royal family's most diligent queen Margrethe has an average of ten working days a month. By comparison, a regular wage earner is around 21. And the least workable Marie - does not go by just fitting her princess duties four days in a month.

A working day can be anything from waving from the balcony of Amalienborg on the occasion of the Queen's birthday or opening a new exhibition for long days of close-up program on official visits abroad. For that reason, the royal family raises over 100 million tax crowns in apanage - every year.

The Extra Magazine mapping does not take into account any preparation time or events that for some reason do not appear in the calendar.
