Asnæsværket has undergone a conversion from black to green energy and has undergone extensive rebuilding over the past three years. The inauguration marks the end of the conversion, which means that the plant's new block 6 can now supply electricity and heat without burning fossil fuels, as production has been converted to burning residual wood from sustainable forestry.
