At the invitation of Hans Excellency Nguyen Minh Triet, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince Consort will make a State Visit to Vietnam during the period 2nd - 6th November 2009. The Regent Couple will be accompanied by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Her Royal Highness the Crown Princess. The State Visit is followed by an unofficial visit programme, which will be ended on 9th November 2009.

The Regent Couple makes a State Visits in Vietnam during the 2nd - 6th November accompanied by the Crown Princely Couple.
Among the objectives of the State Visit is the strengthing Danish-Vietnamese relations.
A trade delegation consisting of 69 Danish companies participates in the State Visit which will focus on dialogue, climate and environment, responsible and sustainable development, business cooperation and cultural exchange.
Vietnam experiences right now a strong economic growth that gives new market opportunities for Danish companies.
Vietnam is among the five countries that are most vulnerable to global warming, therefore the visit focuses among other things on Danish climate-friendly technology.
Apart from business-promoting projects the visit will focus on culture under the theme 'Young Art opens Borders'.
This is so far the largest Danish cultural programme in connection with a State Visit.
It is the first time the Regent Couple make a State Visit in Vietnam - and for the first time the Regent Couple is accompanied by the Crown Princely Couple for a State Visit.
