The Crown Princely Couple participate as patrons in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Sydney Opera House and awards the Royal Couple Prizes for 2013
The Crown Princely Couple visits Sydney, Australia, 25th - 28th October as patrons of the 40th anniversary of the Sydney Opera House. On this occasion the Royal Couple participate in the celebration and will at the same time lead the presentation of the Crown Prince Couple Prizes for 2013. Each year the Crown Princely Couple awards four prizes in three categories at these awards, which were instituted as a gift in 2004 by Bikubenfonden.
In the Opera House on 28th October 2013 the Crown Princely Couple distributes four awards:
The Crown Prince Couple's Culture Prize,
The Crown Princely Couple's Social Prize of DKK 500,000
and two cultural Stardust prices of 50,000 Danish kroner.
Australian artists will perform during the awards ceremony that will be broadcast in Denmark on DR1 and in Australia on Special Broadcasting Service (SBS ).
During the visit the Crown Princely Couple participate in several events marking the Opera House's 40th anniversary, including a gala concert and a series of cultural events focusing on new talent. The Crown Princely Couple will also conduct the openings of a Danish design exhibition and an international architecture and design symposium.
