HRH The Crown Prince participates together with HRH Crown Prince Haakon of Norway in a commemoration service in Roskilde Cathedral in connection with the 200th anniversary of the Norwegian constitution.

The royal family, in the days of May 17 to 24, participate in several events associated with the celebration of the 200th anniversary of Norway's first free constitution Eidsvollgrundloven. Denmark and Norway were separated in 1814 after 434 years of national coexistence, and the two countries' shared history marked in 2014 with numerous events distributed over the entire anniversary year.
On 23 May HRH the Crown Prince participates together with HRH Crown Prince Haakon in a wreath laying ceremony beside Christian 8's tomb in Roskilde Cathedral.
In the evening there will be a gala performance at the Opera House, "Two countries - one story," with the participation of the Regent couple, The Crown Prince Couple, TRH Prince Joachim and Princess Marie and HRH Princess Benedikte. From the Norwegian Royal Family H. M. Queen Sonja and HRH Crown Prince Haakon will attend.
