HRH The Crown Prince shall, on 10 and 11 September 2014 visit the sports tournament Invictus Games in London.
On 10 September the Crown Prince attends the games opening ceremony at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. An audience of about 5,000 people take part in the opening ceremony, where participants will parade with more than 400 military men and women who have been injured in the war.
The Crown Prince on 11 September shares a joint breakfast with the Danish participants at the event and attends thereafter exercise session with athletes in the Lee Valley Athletics Centre.
More than 400 participants rally together from 13 nations, and it is the first time that Invictus Games will take place in the UK. The event will take place with the support of HRH Prince Harry and looking through nine different sports disciplines to generate greater awareness of injured military men and women who have served their country in war, and inspire recovery and rehabilitation among this group.
Invictus Games takes place from 11th-14th September 2014.
