Following the Official Visit to Canada the Crown Princely Couple shall make a visit to New York on 22nd September, 2014.HRH The Crown Prince will there conduct the official opening of the exhibition "House of Green" in Danish Clean Tech Hub.
The Crown Prince also opened the House of Green in Industry House in Copenhagen, where the interactive showroom aims to present sustainable solutions for foreign delegations. Now HRH opens the House of Green in New York to showcase Danish solutions for American interests. The official opening is part of Climate Week NYC, which takes place from 22nd-28th September. House of Green will be a permanent installation at the Urban Future Lab, which is New York's leading center for cleantech.The Danish Cleantech Hub is a public-private partnership aiming to increase exports of Danish cleantech solutions to New York City by bringing together a number of leading players in particular energy efficiency and climate adaptation.
HRH The Crown Princess will attend a series of events focusing on girls' and women's sexual and reproductive health and rights in connection with the UN General Assembly. The Crown Princess attends the opening session of the General Assembly special session about the follow-up to ICPD's Program of Action (International Conference on Population and Development). In addition, the Crown Princess speaks at the launch of a new multi-donor fund to finance civil society initiatives on sexual and reproductive health and rights. Moreover, the Crown Princess, as patron of the UN Population Fund will be present at a dialogue with African First Ladies Organization on maternal and infant health in the presence of among others, the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon. The visit concludes with a speech at an event organized by the organization Women Deliver with the Danish Commerce and Development Minister Mogens Jensen as co-host. The meeting will focus on how investments in young people, including young girls, and sexual and reproductive rights can contribute to global development.
