Adventure Racing takes place in the natural environment where teams of three persons by means of cooperation, strength and endurance must weather a number of challenges in natural terrain. A race can, among other things involve the disciplines of mountain biking, orienteering, kayaking and climbing. The participating teams do not know in advance which particular challenges the course will entail.
Adventure Race is held in Silkeborg woods in an area of about 100 km2. The terrain in the area is wet, hilly and technically challenging. In total, nearly 400 participants have to run, cycle, row, rappel, swim, shoot, climb, roll and raft through the race in Silkeborg on 28 and 29th August.
The race covers three different distances, of which The Crown Prince participates in the Master distance.
