Fakkeltog - The traditional torchlight procession is part of the seasonal rhythm of the Danish Royal calendar.
The residents and mayor of the town of Fredensborg process by torchlight from the town to the inner courtyard of Fredensborg Palace to bid the Regent Couple welcome as they return in the Spring, after spending Winter in Amalienborg (in the city) and Easter at Marselisborg Palace.
It is said that Spring really begins when the Queen returns to Fredensborg.
