The new Chief of Court to Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary has been appointed, to take the place of Per Thornit, who is retiring.
Christian Schønau has been recruited as new Chief of the Crown Princely Couple's Court.
Christian Schønau is 43 years old, with qualifications in Law (cand. jur) and comes from the post of Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Social Affairs. Schønau has since 2005 held the position of Permanent Secretary and consultant in various ministries.
He is known as a clever, effective and laid back boss, easy to work with.
He is a man who takes his mountain bike to work, and then changes into business clothes.
Christian Schønau starts as Chief of Court 1 September 2010.
