Leonie Posted December 5, 2012 Report Share Posted December 5, 2012 OFFICIAL PROGRAM The 6th to 8th of December 2012, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Her Royal Highness the Crown Princess will be on an official visit to the cities of Hong Kong and Beijing in China. The visit will focus on commercial and cultural activities intended to strengthen the bilateral ties between Denmark and China. The Crown Prince couple will participate in the official opening of the design event “Business of Design Week” in Hong Kong, where Denmark as a partner country is represented by a Danish pavilion at the exhibition and several speeches about Danish design will be held. In addition to the focus on Danish design, fashion and culture, the visit will also put a spotlight on CSR and Danish food products. The visit is organized by the Royal Danish Embassy in Beijing and the Innovation Centre Denmark in Hong Kong. Thursday, 6 December Hong Kong Business of Design Week 08.50 The Crown Prince Couple presides over the official opening of the fashion fair & ldquo; Business of Design Week (BoDW) at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. HRH The Crown Prince delivers a speech. Hong Kong Trade Development Council 09.35 The Crown Prince Couple attends the opening of Hong Kong Trade Development Council World SME Expo and Hong Kong Inno Design Tech Expo (IDT Expo) at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. World SME Expo presents various business opportunities, including Chinese trade strategies, IT and e-business. IDT Expo is an innovation exhibition, where new technological design solutions are presented. Design Society Denmark 10.20 The Crown Prince Couple preside over the official opening of the Danish pavilion Design Society Denmark at BoDW. HRH The Crown Princess delivers a speech. After the opening, the Crown Prince Couple visit the stands of 25 Danish businesses in the Danish pavilion. Pandora 14.45 The Crown Prince Couple visit the new shop of the Danish jewellery company Pandora in the shopping centre Hysan Place. Carl Hansen & Son 15.30 In Victoria Harbour, the Crown Prince Couple are introduced to a selection of Carl Hansen & Son furniture and to the company strategy in relation to Hong Kong and China. Georg Jensen 17.00 The Crown Prince Couple visit the store of the Danish jewellery and design firm Georg Jensen in the shopping centre IFC Mall. Gala dinner 20.00 The Crown Prince Couple take part in the Danish Chamber of Commerce gala dinner at Hong Kong Parkview. The Crown Prince delivers a speech. Friday, 7 December INDEX: AWARD 2011 exhibition 10.30 The Crown Prince Couple preside over the opening of the exhibition INDEX: Award 2011 by the Danish NGO INDEX: Design to Improve Life. The exhibition shows the winners and finalists from INDEX: Award and has been displayed all over the world. The Crown Prince delivers a speech. Food Products Event 12.00 The Crown Prince Couple take part in a food products event at FINDS (Finnish, Icelandic, Norwegian, Danish, Swedish) restaurant with the Danish food company Danish Crown and the Danish brewery Mikkeller. B&O 14.00 The Crown Prince Couple visit B&O store at Pacific Place in Admiralty. The Crown Prince Couple are introduced to the Danish electronics company product development and B&O business partners. Saturday, 8 December Beijing Red Brick Contemporary Art Museum 09.00 The Crown Prince Couple inspect the new Red Brick Contemporary Art Museum in Beijing and are shown, among other things, an installation by Olafur Eliasson, an exhibition by Michael Kvium, a sculpture by Christian Lemmerz and the museum main exhibition by Erik A. Frandsen. Faurschou Foundation 10.00 The Crown Prince Couple visit the Danish gallery Faurschou Foundation in 798 International Arts District and see the exhibition Alone and Together displaying works by Louise Bourgeois. LEGO Education Centre 11.00 The Crown Prince Couple visit LEGO Education Centre and preside over the kick-off event for the LEGO competition Build Your World. The Crown Prince and LEGO director in China, Esben Esben Stærk Jørgensen, mark the competition's start. Arla 12.15 The Crown Prince Couple take part in the launch of Arla's new product in China, UHT (long shelf life) milk, at the Danish embassy in Beijing. After the launch, the Crown Prince Couple watch a dairy chef prepare a meal. My Danish Footprint in China 14.00 The Crown Prince Couple are introduced to the Danish Embassy in Beijing's CSR initiative My Danish Footprint in China. The Crown Princess delivers a speech. Afterwards, the Crown Prince Couple watch a match between Danish badminton player Peter Gade and Chinese badminton player Bao Chunlai. Fashion event 16.00 The Crown Prince Couple attend the Danish Embassy's event participated in by the three Danish fashion companies Kopenhagen Fur, LINDBERG and House of Amber. The Crown Prince Couple watch a fashion show and are introduced to the companies' charity initiatives. Gala dinner 19.00 The Crown Prince Couple take part in a gala dinner at Kempinski Hotel.
