The school visit is the start of a joint effort by Save the Children and the Danish Minister for Development, which aims to raise awareness of the challenges of girls rights and child marriage.The students at Hedegården School came up with their opinions, considerations and suggestions on how to ensure that no child gets married. The messages will be part of the Danish contribution at an *International summit in Senegal on October 23, where child marriages od on the agenda. Here, top leaders from Africa and the rest of the world meet to discuss joint efforts to achieve UN World Goal No. 5 on gender equality and the abolition of child marriages by 2030." * Which Mary will attend.
