"The centre at Jagtvej is Denmark's largest women's shelter and today H.R.H. The Crown Princess visited along with the Mary Foundation the

residents and centre staff.

During the visit, Her Royal Highness shared experiences with current and former residents about the backpacks that the Mary Foundation provides to all children moving

to shelters with their mothers in Denmark, Greenland and on the Faroe Islands. In addition to containing common necessities, the backpack also serves as a symbol for the

children being heard.

The backpack is of great importance as an educational tool in breaking the taboo of violence."
