"With just over a month to 'Royal Run', 70,000 Danes have now signed up for the royal event in five Danish cities.

When the Crown Prince Couple kicks off Royal Run on 12 September, it will be in the company of over 70,000 participants in Sønderborg, Aalborg, Odense, Copenhagen / Frederiksberg and on Bornholm. "It has been a tumultuous year, also for Royal Run, so we are sincerely pleased that the Danes in this way support and show that they are ready to celebrate the community and the joy of movement again," says Jens Otto Størup, member of Royal Run's steering group and CEO of DGI."

Today is exactly one month until the starting shot goes to the Royal Run. That is why the warehouse that will dress Aalborg, Sønderborg, Odense, Copenhagen / Frederiksberg and Rønne is busy when the big event kicks off.

His Royal Highness the Crown Prince visited the warehouse and production hall in Farum yesterday, where all banners, kilometer marks, posters and portals are printed and stored before everything is sent out to the Royal Run cities.

During his visit, the Crown Prince tried to pump up the large goal portal, and in addition, His Royal Highness helped print posters and oversee the many medals that will hang around the necks of the now more than 70,000 registered participants on 12 September.

Crown Prince Frederik starts the day with the one mile in Southern Jutland, Sønderborg, close to Gråsten.

The event is part of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Denmark's reunion with Southern Jutland.

Next is Odense, with another one mile around noon. Mary is running the 5km in Aalborg again in the afternoon.

Copenhagen/Frederiksberg start and finish at Amalienborg. No mentioning of which members of the family are attending that.

Bornholm is without royal attendance due to logistics.

"It is just under four weeks to Royal Run, and like many others, we are in the process of training for the race. Our son Prince Vincent has made this little video of our training in the area around Fredensborg Palace.

We are both looking forward to experiencing the very special Royal Run atmosphere again. For me, it all starts in Sønderborg, where I will run a One mile in the morning. In the north, in Aalborg, the Crown Princess runs five kilometers, and in Odense I go out on my second One mile in the afternoon.

In the evening we gather in Copenhagen and in Frederiksberg, where I start on the 10 kilometer distance.

About the place he visited

"SydhavnsCompagniet is a strong locally based social civil society actor that launches social initiatives that are adapted to the users' needs and interests. The users of VæreSteder suffer from various problems such as loneliness, abuse and physical and mental disabilities, and in 2010 the National Association of VæreSteder was awarded the Crown Prince Couple's Social Prize. Over the years, the Crown Prince and Crown Princess have followed the association's work closely."

Crown Prince Frederik cut the ribbon today to @vaeresteder Royal Side Run. Over 1,000 participants across the country. We are pleased with the recognition and the Crown Prince's strong manifestation that community around sports is for everyone.

Imagine that it is almost 2.5 years since we were last gathered for the Royal Run! Now we can finally get together again, and I have been really looking forward to today. I look forward to a festive day around the country and I hope that everyone who participates or follows from the sidelines will have a good experience 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏽‍♂️🏃🏻 -
