The first two days of the visit take place in the island country Vanuatu.

The Crown Princess receives a briefing together with Minister for Development Cooperation and Global Climate Policy Dan Jørgensen by Vanuatu’s minister of climate change adaptation H.E. Ralph Regenvanu.

 

HRH The Crown Princess visits the local community Pele Island
The Crown Princess and Minister for Development Cooperation and Global Climate Policy Dan Jørgensen visit the local community on Pele Island, which has been hard hit by the two cyclones and two earthquakes which have recently struck Vanuatu.  

On Pele Island, the residents, in cooperation with a number of partners, including the UN’s Development Programme (UNDP) and the Global Environment Facility (GEF), have started initiatives for preventing climate change and developing sustainable energy sources.

The Crown Princess participates in a meeting with Vanuatu’s President, H.E. Nikenike Vurobaravu, together with Minister for Development Cooperation and Global Climate Policy Dan Jørgensen.

The Crown Princess visits the local community Etas, where the relief organisation ADRA, with support from the EU, has begun a number of initiatives for women in one of Vanuatu’s most vulnerable areas. During the visit, The Crown Princess will also gain insight into how work is being done to rebuild the community following the two cyclones that hit the area in early March.

The Crown Princess, together with Minister for Development Cooperation and Global Climate Policy Dan Jørgensen, participates in an official luncheon with Vanuatu’s government.

The Crown Princess, Minister for Development Cooperation and Global Climate Policy Dan Jørgensen and UN Population Fund (UNFPA) Executive Director Natalia Kanem are received with a traditional welcoming ceremony in Fiji’s capital, Suva.

The Crown Princess, Minister for Development Cooperation and Global Climate Policy Dan Jørgensen and UNFPA Executive Director Natalia Kanem take part in a meeting with Fiji’s President, H.E. Ratu Wiliame Maivalili Katonivere.

 

HRH The Crown Princess visits tent village at Nabavatu
The Crown Princess, together with Minister for Development Cooperation and Global Climate Policy Dan Jørgensen and UNFPA Executive Director Natalia Kanem, visits the tent village Nabavatu on Fiji’s second largest island, Vanua Levu. The tent village houses internally displaced persons in the wake of the cyclone that struck Fiji in 2020.  The visit focuses on the consequences of climate change and UNFPA’s work to safeguard sexual and reproductive health and rights for girls and women in humanitarian crises.

The Crown Princess, Minister for Development Cooperation and Global Climate Policy Dan Jørgensen and UNFPA Executive Director Natalia Kanem take part in a reception and dinner with Fiji’s President and prime minister in the capital, Suva.

The Crown Princess and Minister for Development Cooperation and Global Climate Policy Dan Jørgensen participate in a sailing tour on the traditional vessel “Uto Ni Yalo”. On board are representatives from The Pacific Community (SPC).

 

HRH The Crown Princess takes part in courtesy meeting with Fiji’s prime minister
The Crown Princess and Minister for Development Cooperation and Global Climate Policy Dan Jørgensen participate in a meeting with Fiji’s prime minister, H.E. Sitiveni L. Rabuka.

 

HRH The Crown Princess visits organisations for persons with disabilities
Together with UNFPA Executive Director Natalia Kanem, The Crown Princess visits the headquarters of the organisation “Fiji Disabled Peoples Federation”, where The Crown Princess will gain insight into the work UNFPA and disability organisations do for vulnerable persons with disabilities. Among other things, The Crown Princess will assist with the hand-out of “dignity kits”, which are aid packages developed especially for persons with disabilities in connection with humanitarian crises.

 

HRH The Crown Princess takes part in arrangement concerning BOGA
The Crown Princess delivers a speech at an arrangement focused on BOGA (Beyond Oil and Gas Alliance), where Minister for Development Cooperation and Global Climate Policy Dan Jørgensen also participates. The arrangement brings together high-ranking representatives from the Pacific nations for a discussion about the region’s role in connection with BOGA’s vision of a controlled and equitable phase-out of oil and gas production.

 

HRH The Crown Princess visits the University of the South Pacific
The Crown Princess and Minister for Development Cooperation and Global Climate Policy Dan Jørgensen participate together in a dialogue with students from the Pacific region about the climate agenda and about involvement of young people in this agenda.

HRH The Crown Princess visits Blackrock Peacekeeping and Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Camp
The Crown Princess and Minister for Development Cooperation and Global Climate Policy Dan Jørgensen visit the training centre Blackrock, where Fiji’s armed forces are trained before they are deployed on UN peacekeeping missions. The centre also assists with efforts in connection with humanitarian crises.

The Crown Princess participates in a cycling tour on one of Sydney’s bicycle trails, which are inspired by the Copenhagen Bike Lane. Denmark supports Sydney’s strategy for a more bicycle-friendly and sustainable city, and the Danish architecture and urban planning firm Gehl Architects has, among other things, been involved in the city council’s development plan, “Sustainable Sydney 2030”.

I think the photo is from Vietnam trip.  BB is traveling with Mary this time so maybe they've all traveled together.  Not sure.
