H.K.H. Kronprinsen deltager i COP28 i Dubai den 5.-6. december.

HRH The Crown Prince attends COP28 Dubai 5.-6. December 2023.

 

 

The Crown Prince, together with Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities Lars Aagaard, among others, will focus on the Danish efforts and interests in the global fight for the climate.

 

Every year, the UN gathers the world’s leaders and key actors on the climate front to determine ambitions and responsibility for global action on the climate. This year’s conference is hosted by The United Arab Emirates, which holds the presidency for COP28.

 

The Crown Prince will represent Denmark and the country’s role in the fight to reach the UN’s climate goals together with Danish ministers and companies. Through panel debates, speeches and activities at the Danish pavilion, the delegation will focus on how Danish companies in, among other areas, solar energy, offshore wind energy and green technology can help the world reduce CO2 emissions.

Opening of “SIDS: A Just and Equitable Energy Transition Towards a Climate-Resilient Future”
1:30 pm

The Crown Prince participates in the opening of the conference “SIDS: A Just and Equitable Energy Transition Towards a Climate-Resilient Future” together with climate ambassador Tomas Anker Christensen. SIDS (Small Island Developing States) is a group of low-lying island nations which are very vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. The objective of the event is to put emphasis on the development and progress of SIDS countries.

 

How to Decarbonize the Hard-to-abate Sectors” 
5:00 pm

The Crown Prince delivers the opening speech at an arrangement focusing on decarbonization of sectors and companies with emissions of CO2. “How to Decarbonize the Hard-to-abate Sectors” is arranged by four Danish companies.

7:00 pm

The embassy hosts a reception for the Danish delegation and the embassy’s partners. At the reception, The Crown Prince gives a speech focusing on Denmark as a pioneering green country.

Opening event in the Danish pavilion
10:30 am

In the Danish pavilion, State of Green and the Indian think tank Observer Research Foundation (ORF) hold an opening event about green shipping with a focus on how to ensure sufficient green fuels for the shipping industry. Here, a panel discussion will be started by The Crown Prince’s opening speech. The Crown Prince is the patron of State of Green.

 

“Green Corridors: A How To Guide”
11:40 am

The Crown Prince attends the panel debate “Green Corridors: A How To Guide”, which is organized by the Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller Center for Zero Carbon Shipping. The focus of the debate will be how governments and the private sector can work together to decarbonize shipping.

 

Presentation of Renewable Energy Fashion Fund (REFF)
3:30 pm

The Crown Prince attends the presentation of Global Fashion Agenda and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners’ Renewable Energy Fashion Fund (REFF). The new fund works to facilitate the collective financing of infrastructure and to increase the availability of sustainable energy in Bangladesh and other key fashion production regions.

So Frederik has been ar the global conference COP28 for 2 days attending various events and giving speeches and neither BT nor even BB could be bothered to post about it.  Yet BT will he all over it if they can insert the word crisis into the title.  Whatever.  DK is the only monarchy that does not properly cover their own heir!!
