The Mary Foundation - H.M. Queen Mary's Foundation

Recommended Posts

From Mary Fonden - The Mary Foundation

"Yesterday, the chairman of the Mary Foundation became queen. That's why going forward we will be

H.M. Queen Mary's Foundation.

The work of the Foundation continues unchanged, and with the chairman at the forefront we are also working to fight social isolation by identifying, developing and running projects in collaboration with partners."

  • mls changed the title to Mary Fonden - H.M. Queen Mary's Foundation

I edited the title of the thread. The change will only be to the second part of the original name:

"Mary Fonden - H.M. Dronning Marys fond"

- We will continue to be called Mary Fonden in everyday speech. But our longer title will of course be changed when the formal process surrounding a name change is completed, explains communications manager Bodil Liv Holm to BILLED-BLADET.

On World Book Day we recognise the great importance of books to us as humans. Books are culture, excitement, play, fantasy, knowledge and language.

The language gives life to the books and helps us understand ourselves and each other.

That's why Mary Foundation's project LæseLeg starts with picture books to work with children's language development,

play and social relationships.

When children are able to express their feelings and needs, their well-being and ability to join communities is of great importance, and here the imaginative world of books can be a safe foundation to stand on.

When LæseLeg showed positive results for children's communicative abilities in a new effect study earlier this year, it was therefore yet another acknowledgement of the importance of books and language - already from the beginning of life.

Enjoy reading and happy World Book Day.
