At DTU Skylab, students and researchers can get help lifting new ideas and inventions from the research laboratories into the real world.
His Majesty the King visited today the 5500 square meter innovation house in Lyngby, which every year supports more than 300 startup projects, which include both research and innovation-based teams.
In connection with the visit, the King received an introduction to DTU's work on innovation and entrepreneurship, after which His Majesty had the opportunity to meet a number of students and researchers who use the facilities in DTU Skylab.

During the visit, The King met, among others, 3 student startups:
🌱 Tinyfarms, which makes indoor mini-greenhouses where school students can get 'hands-on' experience with sustainability, nutrients and technology.
🌾 NitroVolt, which produces sustainable ammonia for fertilizer in agriculture.
🔋 Gridlinx, which stores green energy from electric cars and uses electricity as an alternative energy source in the home.
A total of 81 new startups were founded at DTU last year. DTU has one of the best-developed ecosystems for innovation and entrepreneurship among European technical universities.
