What great news! I have thought about the family at home in their isolation. Good to hear that Prince Christian is well and hasn’t had any symptoms and that the rest of the Crown Prince family has tested negative all the time. I wish Christian a continued symptom-free and good recovery.

Thanks to Frederik and Mary for announcement so quickly and honestly about the things.

Regardless of whether you have symptoms or not, if you test positive, you must:

  1. Self-isolate immediately.
You must isolate yourself at home until 48 hours after your symptoms are gone.
If you do not develop symptoms, you must remain isolated until 7 days after taking the test.

Regardless of whether you have symptoms or not, if you are a close contact, you must make sure to be tested twice:

  • At the earliest, the first test must be taken 4 days after you have last been in close contact with the person who has tested positive for novel coronavirus.
  • You must take the second test two days after the first test. It is imperative the you take the second test to make sure that you are not infected – regardless of whether the first test was negative or not.

According to this, they would have to take a second test in two days, Sunday.

What about Christian? He is in isolation for 7 days but there is no mentioning of him having to take a new test next week. You'd think he would need

to do a new test after a positive test. Did you have to, JosephineDane?

I don’t think Christian needs a new test. My daugther didn’t. Christian just needs to go into isolation for 7 days after his positive test as he has no symptoms. You can test positive for up to 6 weeks, therefore it is stated that if you have symptoms you can break your isolation 48 hours after you are symptom-free. If you have no symptoms (like Christian) you can break your isolation after 7 days. Since one can still carry the virus but no longer can infect other people.

COVID affects everything

https://kongehuset.dk/nyheder/vagtparader-paa-amalienborg-den-kommende-tid

As a result of the latest restrictions in connection with COVID-19, the Royal Life Guard has adjusted the guard parade and guard replacement at Amalienborg in the coming time.

The guard parade departs as usual from the Life Guards Barracks around kl. 11.30 with arrival at Amalienborg half an hour later. However, the parade itself has been reduced to 24 people, and the Music Corps will not participate, but there will be four drums.

Upon arrival at Amalienborg, the traditional front march with pick-up and drop-off of the flag is not carried out. However, the flag will still be accessible, and this happens on arrival, with the guard parade marching in front of the departing force. Subsequently, the change of guard is carried out as usual. The reduced ceremony continues for the time being until January 3, 2021. This also means that the traditional parade on January 1 with New Year's concert by the Music Corps will not be held. However, the Royal Life Guards will be in red gala uniform on the day

Hmmm. Second article in which Billed Bladet doesn't mention the second test that has been discussed earlier in this thread.

Also the "will start receiving schooling again": Surely they have had online education even in isolation, including Christian with a positive test but no symptoms?

https://www.billedbladet.dk/kongelige/danmark/efter-udfordrende-uge-mary-og-frederiks-boern-skal-i-gang-igen

On Monday 14 December, the Crown Prince's family can start their normal December everyday life again.

This means, among other things, that Mary and Frederik's four children will start receiving schooling again. For Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine, this actually means that if there are no corona cases in their classes over the weekend, they can return to Tranegårdskolen, where they go to third grade. The youngest year groups in the schools in Gentofte Municipality have not been affected by the partial closure due to the covid-19 situation.

In return, Isabella and Christian's classes, 7th and 9th grade at Tranegårdskolen, respectively, have been sent home due to the general corona shutdown, and they are receiving online tuition this week. So they do not have to attend school, but sit in front of their computer at home in private at Amalienborg and have Danish, mathematics and history lessons.

I don’t we will hear anything about the second test today unless it (unexpectedly) should have been positive. Since we haven’t received a new press release today I assume their second test was negative as well. So tomorrow Christian can leave his isolation too and the family can return to civilization 😉 So much civilization there is in these corona times... 🥴

Yep I am also sure that Christian and Isabella have had homeschooling all week since they (like all other 6th-9th graders) have to homeschool the rest of the year. So it’s only Vincent and Josephine who can return to school tomorrow.

Exciting to see if Mary's one event can be held.. It is the only one of the Queen’s and Crown Prince Couple's events that has not been canceled yet.

Our Prime Minister, Government and Ministry of Health are currently holding a press conference:

The Covid-19 infection number is rising and today is the highest infection number in Denmark we have seen so far. In the recent days there has also been a sharp increase in the number of inpatients and we will probably very soon have the same number of inpatients as in the Spring. Our Prime Minister says that right now it looks like the coming months (January and February) are set to be the toughest months for Denmark in regard to Covid-19.

That is why Denmark now goes into an actually total lockdown again - like in the Spring. From Friday 25. December and to 3.January Denmark will actually be closed down. Department stores, malls and shopping arcades are due to close tomorrow, December 17th. Service professions such as hairdressers and beauticians are due to close on Monday 21. December. All Danish school children will be sent home on holiday if they are not already sent home and leisure institutions close. This also applies from 21 December.

The lock down will last so far until 3. January.

I guess that means we still won’t see much to our Queen and Crown Prince Couple  😞 - except for Zoom meetings, greetings over their social media and what they otherwise can manage to do. Like in our last total lock down in the Spring.
And it will probably last some time into the new year.

  • 2 weeks later...

The Danish Prime Minister has just held a new press conference due to the increase in Covid-19 affected. According to our Prime Minister the Covid-19 situation in Denmark is now worse than it was in the spring.

Denmark's lockdown and restrictions will be extended until 17. January.

All school children are send home to be homeschooled - this time also the youngest classes. This means that Christian, Isabella, and now also Vincent and Josephine will be homeschooled by F&M again - just as we saw in the spring.

All other restrictions are extended as well, including the assembly ban of 10 people, which will no doubt continue to affect F&M's (as well as QM’s) official events.
